Custard Box Privacy Notice

Custard Box only collects personal information to communicate with customers about their order.  Personal information is that which can identify an individual.

1 What information does Custard Box hold?

Custard box holds the personal information submitted on an order form.  Namely:
Customer’s name
Address
Email
Telephone number

This information may be processed (transferred to hard copy) as it is necessary for performance of the contract between a customer and Custard Box.

2 The lawful basis for using personal information

Custard Box will only use your personal information when the law allows it to in order to perform the contract entered into with customers, and where compliance is required with a legal obligation.

3 Who does Custard Box share your personal information with?

Personal information is not shared or transferred to any other individual or organisation.

4 How long does Custard Box keep your personal information?

Custard Box will only retain your personal information for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.

Where a minimum retention period is required by law (such as retaining records for HMRC purposes or anti-money laundering law), Custard Box complies with that minimum period plus up to 12 months.

5 Your rights in connection with personal information

Under certain circumstances, by law you have the right to:

  • Request access to your personal information (commonly known as a 'subject access request').  This enables you to receive a copy of the personal information Custard Box holds about you.  A fee may be charged for a subject access request, which must be in writing.  Custard Box may need to request specific information from you to help Custard Box confirm your identity and ensure your right to access the information (or to exercise any of your other rights).  This is an appropriate security measure to ensure that personal information is not disclosed to any person who has no right to receive it.  However, the only personal information held would be that mentioned in paragraph 1, unless it has been deleted in accordance with paragraph 4.


  • Request correction of the personal information that Custard Box holds about you.


  • Request erasure of your personal information. Subject to paragraph 4 this enables you to ask Custard Box to delete or remove personal information where there is no good reason for Custard Box continuing to hold it.
